68 PEOPLE DONATE BLOOD TO PNRC

Sixty-eight qualified donors participated September 15 in the province-wide bloodletting program held at the Gerona Municipal Hall.

Themed “I’m a blood donor: I help protect and save lives,” the bloodletting activity aimed to save lives by donating blood to the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC).

Blood donors came from the municipal government of Gerona, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood International (PGBI), PNRC, Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona, Tarlac Media Association (TAMA) Inc., Tarlac Breaking News, GUARCOM, Samahang Bayanihan, HATAW, Sta. Catalina Colleges Scholars, Pi Sigma & Pi Sigma Delta, Tau Gamma, SI, Philippine National Police, ARESCOM, MYAF and Serdens Music Studio.

The bloodletting activity was an off-shoot of the Bayanihan sa Gerona Project launched in August.

Members of the medical staff of the Gerona rural health unit examined potential donors before they were allowed to donate blood.
