GO IS LMP'S NEW PRESIDENT

In a rare show of support and trust, Mayor Dennis Norman Tañedo Go was installed president of the Tarlac Mayor’s League for 2010-2013 during LMP's luncheon meeting at Fortune Restaurant, Tarlac City.

Go, who is serving his second term as Mayor of Gerona, was elected unanimously by 17 municipal mayors of Tarlac. Former Capas and Outgoing LMP President Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan presided over the meeting and election.

“This is like dejavu,” Go said in his acceptance speech.

“My mother served as TML President and Secretary General during the term of a Tarlaqueño, former President Cory Aquino, and here I am serving as TML president this time where President Cory’s only son, Benigno "PNoy" Aquino, is President of the country.”

Go's mother, former Mayor Susan T. Go, was Secretary General and TML president from 1988 to 1992. And like his mother, Go was asked to seek a national post in the League of Municipalities.

As LMP president, Go was given the blanket authority to nominate the rest of the LMP officers.
