PARTY LIST DONATES BOOKS TO GERONA DISTRICTS

The office of Representative Mariano U. Piamonte, Jr. of A Teacher Party - List donated on August 10 a total of 6,348 books to Gerona North and South Districts in a simple ceremony held at Gerona North Central Elementary School.

The donation included basic textbooks and references materials for Preparatory to Grade VI pupils.

The book distribution was attended by local officials, school heads, teachers, and GNCES pupils.

Mayor Dennis Go thanked Representative Mariano U. Piamonte Jr. for the book donation.

He said the two districts were fortunate to receive such donations because public schools in Gerona are not spared from the perennial problem on pupil and book ratio.

Mrs. Ceferina Saludez, the District Supervisor of Gerona South, and Rosalinda Ibarra, the Officer In-charge of Gerona North, accepted the donation on behalf of their respective district.

Vice Mayor Ronjie Daquigan, Councilors Fred Isla, Holden Sembrano, Manuel Milla, and Agerico Batenga were also there to attend the book distribution.
