POB. 2 BAGS BEST FLOAT AWARD

The colorful Geron-inspired Barangay Poblacion 2 entry bagged the best float award ahead of Brgy Tagumbao and North Manhattan Executive Villas who rounded off 1st and 2nd Runner-Ups during the grand fiesta parade and float competition on November 25.

Not to be outdone were Brgy Dicolor, Brgy Amacalan, Classique Herb Products, Total Gas Station, and Brgy Magaspac who turned out with consolation awards.

The grand parade was one of the highlights of ‘A Gathering of Families” fiesta celebration of Gerona.

A total of 26 entries joined the float competition which kicked off at Don Matias Tañedo Athletic field.

Other agencies and barangays who fielded in their floats were: Classique Herbs Products, KVE Realty & Development, Brgy Apsayan, Brgy Oloybuaya, Brgy Parsolingan, Brgy Tagumbao, Brgy Bularit, Gerona Municipal Scholars, Total Gas Station, Brgy Matayuncab, Brgy Bawa, Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA), Brgy Caturay, Brgy Ayson, Holy Child School of Gerona, TARELCO I, Brgy Buenlag, Brgy Singat, Brgy Amacalan, Brgy. Magaspac, Brgy Carbonel, Brgy Abagon, and BFP.

Aside from the competing floats, the Philippine National Police (PNP), mutya of different barangays, Brgy Captains together with their respective council members, bantay bayan, barangay health workers, winners of street dancing competition, SRP Brotherhood, Veterans Federation, Gerona Office for Differently Abled Person (GODAP), and the drum and lyre corps of different schools also joined the parade.

Communication groups Kabalikat Civicom, Paragon, 7G, and the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc. were also there to provide assistance and security to the parade.
