Vice Mayor Ronjie Lorenzo Daquigan

As an example of a patriotic Filipino who strove hard to pursue his dreams, Vice Mayor Ronjie Lorenzo Daquigan fits the bill exactly as he looks at his position as a tool to help more Geronians achieve their dreams.

His political odyssey started when he was elected as a Sangguniang Kabataan chairman. From there, he had climbed the hierarchy of government service.

He was a municipal councilor of Gerona, Tarlac, from 1995-2001. In 2004, he emerged victorious once again as a municipal councilor.

In 2007, he was elected as the Vice Mayor of Gerona.

This Political Science graduate of the University of the East has also been very active to various socio-civic organizations.

He is an officer and member of numerous organizations including the Tarlac Media Association (TAMA) and the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc. (PGBI).

Vice Mayor Daquigan is married to Mary Jane Pamintuan Ramos, a professional nurse. They have one sweet daughter, Carla Winji.

Councilor Edwin Aldrin Rombaoa Yamoyam

Councilor Edwin Yamoyam hails from the province of Nueva Ecija but found home here in Gerona, Tarlac.

This is where he has been serving the public since 2001 as a municipal councilor for seven consecutive years.

Councilor Yamoyam was born to Miguel Yamoyam and Ma. Lydia Rombaoa on September 26, 1969 in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. He now resides at Barangay Danzo, Gerona, Tarlac.

A graduate of Political Science at the National College of Business and Arts, Councilor Yamoyam is an active member of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) and the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL).

Councilor Agerico Sagun Batenga

At 48, Councilor Agerico Batenga’s life may be described as a smorgasbord of good deeds in government service.

For nearly 30 years, Councilor Batenga has been with the government and serving the Filipinos with full integrity.

In 1995, he became a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona, Tarlac. In 2001, he was elected as Vice Mayor of Gerona and served for two consecutive terms. And in 2007, he was again part of the Sangguniang Bayan.

Councilor Batenga graduated at the Centro Escolar University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Dentistry. He is married to Cristina Taberna, a fellow dentist by profession. Their marriage gave them two children – Leonardo Getty and Precious Therese.

Councilor Raul Parazo Cruz

Councilor Raul Cruz used to be an educator by profession but the calling of public service was stronger. That was why in 2001, he ran and won to become a member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona, Tarlac.

Councilor Cruz was born on May 16, 1946 in Gerona, Tarlac. He is the son of Rustico Cruz and Eliza Parazo. He finished his degree in Education at the Dr. Nicanor Reyes Memorial College in 1971.

He is married to Cresencia Sembrano, to whom he has two children: Joel and jazen.

Councilor Fred Ramilo Isla

Another educator has joined the proud roster of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona.

Councilor Fred Isla had built his career in teaching before venturing into government office. His track record in teaching depicts him as a awe-inspiring molder of future leaders. He was a school principal from 1983 to 2004 and then he became a consultant to the Mayor’s Office in 2007.

During the local elections of 2007, he emerged as a winner in the race for municipal councilor of Gerona.

Born on January 8, 1944, Councilor Isla is the son of Filomeno Isla and Valentina Ramilo.

His wife, Fely Pascua, also a teacher, gave him three wonderful children: Frelyn, Fred Jr., and Frederick.

Councilor Manuel Dela Cruz Milla

To those who keep looking for role models, Councilor Manuel Milla might be the perfect one for you.

Although he did not finish his Associate in Surveying degree, he refused to give up and, as a result, rose from a lowly job of government clerk to a member of the august body of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona.

For three consecutive terms since his election to the municipal council in 2001, he has been a respected senior member of the local legislative council.

One of those who are very proud of his achievements is Zanida Vallega, his wife. Their marriage gave this couple two children: Serleo and Mary Ann.

He lives at Magaspac, Gerona Tarlac.

Councilor Eduardo MuÑoz Lumagui

In four years of service as a municipal councilor in the town of Gerona, Councilor Eduardo Lumagui had served this town with dedication. His feats in local government legislation have shown that he is indeed worth every vote cast in his favor during the last local elections.

This full-blooded Geronian has been in public office since 2004. He is the son of Eduardo Lumagui Sr. and Normita Muñoz.

Councilor Lumagui found his better half in the person of Imelda Ugay and their marital union gave birth to four children--Vanessa, Crist Eduard, Dianara, and Nina Aura.

Councilor Lumagui resides in Barangay Abagon, Gerona, Tarlac.

Councilor Pacifico Lopez Agudo

Pacifico Agudo was former president of the Association of Barangay Chairmen (ABC) in Gerona before he run for councilor.

As ABC President for six years, he served as direct link of the Sanggunian to the 44 barangays. This experience bore him dividends as he became more aware of the needs and problems of community folks at the barangay level. Such experience made him proficient in handling barangay concerns and he was able to implement projects that are barangay based.

Councilor Agudo’s spouse, Juanita Cunanan, supports him in his every feat as a legitimate member of the municipal council. They have three children – Christopher, Sonny, and Jannel.

ABC President Manuel Caneio Arciaga

ABC President Manuel Arciaga is another educator who now sits as a legislator here in Gerona. From 1972 to 1999, he served in the Department of Education Culture and Sports (DECS), now Department of Education (DepEd). Now, by virtue of his ascencion

This 42 year-old teacher decided to become a part of the Gerona legislature in order to serve his home town better. He is the son of Angel Arciaga and Arcadia Caneio and a husband to Felreita Cura. Their marriage bore four children. They are Dennis, Irene, Edwin, and Cheryl.

SK Federation President Hyugi Nicolae Sembrano

Just being a part of a widely respected political family here in Gerona is already an honor, but Hyugi Nicolae Sembrano aims to serve the public even at an early age, proving beyond doubt that he is indeed a chip out of the old Sembrano block.

Hyugi is the president of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Gerona, Tarlac, and thus an ex officio member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Gerona–the voice of the youth in local legislation.

The son of former Mayor and Board Member Harmes Sembrano and his wife Marybelle Calma, Councilor Sembrano is a senior student at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Tarlac City.
